Make a panel on the dashboard

1

Open Support Tickets

On the dashboard, pick your server and open Support Tickets.
2

Use the ready-made panel

It comes with three buttons: Get help, Report someone and Appeal a punishment.
3

Pick where it goes and who handles it

Choose a channel under Post it in, or let Newt make a new #tickets channel. Pick the staff role under Who handles tickets.
4

Click Add to server

Or click Customize first to change the text and buttons. The panel posts within a few seconds.
Set a transcript channel in the settings. Without one, deleting a ticket deletes the conversation.

Or use commands

Each button can ask its own question before the ticket opens, and send its tickets to its own category.

Ticket settings

  • transcript_channel: where transcripts are saved as HTML files. Keep it staff-only.
  • log_channel: one line per open, claim, close, reopen, rename and delete.
  • max_open: tickets one person can have open at once. 1 by default, up to 5.
  • Auto-close (dashboard only): after a set number of quiet days Newt asks if the ticket is still needed, then closes it 48 hours later unless someone replies.

Working a ticket

Run these inside the ticket channel. Most are also buttons in the ticket.
The member can read but not talk. Reopen gives their voice back. Delete saves a transcript first, if a transcript channel is set.
Their open tickets stay open.

Manage panels

Deletes its message. Open tickets stay open.

Good to know

  • Newt needs Manage Channels to create and delete ticket channels.
  • Up to 5 buttons per panel.
  • Up to 5 panels, or 15 with Premium.
  • Buttons keep working after restarts and updates.
Permission: Panels and /ticket settings need Manage Server. Working a ticket needs a staff role on that panel. The person who opened a ticket can also close it.
