Enable it on the dashboard
Go to the dashboard, open your server, and find Daily wisdom. Switch it on, pick the channel you want quotes posted in, choose the hour (UTC) to post each day, select the image colours, and tick any roles you want Newt to ping. That’s everything — no quotes to write.
Worth knowing
The quotes are already there. Every quote comes from a philosopher who is long gone — Stoics, Taoists, Confucius, Enlightenment thinkers, existentialists, and more. The words are their own and free to share. No AI generates them and nothing is fetched from the internet when a quote posts. Each server walks the list in its own order. Newt works through the full quote library one entry per day, in an order unique to your server. When it reaches the end, it starts over. The dashboard shows you exactly which quote is scheduled to post next. Post a quote immediately. Run/wisdom now or click Post one now on the dashboard to post the next quote right away. It counts as today’s quote, so the scheduled post won’t double up.
Let anyone browse quotes on demand. /wisdom quote shows a random quote from the full library to whoever runs it, without affecting the daily schedule at all. Any member can use it.
