## <Icon icon="user-clock" size={24} /> New account protection

Turns away accounts younger than a number of days. Raids usually use brand new accounts.

<CodeGroup>
  ```plaintext Syntax theme={null}
  /automod minage <days> [action]
  ```

  ```plaintext Example theme={null}
  /automod minage days:3 action:kick, and tell them why
  ```
</CodeGroup>

* **Kick** can DM them how old the account must be, so a real person can come back later.
* **Ban** sends nothing.
* `days:0` switches it off.
* Accounts turned away don't count as joins.

## <Icon icon="circle-info" size={24} /> Good to know

* Only one rule acts on each message.
* Kicks and bans are capped at 5 an hour by default. Past that they become timeouts. Change the cap on the dashboard.
* Timeouts last 10 minutes by default.
* Every action except a plain delete becomes a [case](/moderation/cases).
* The owner and anyone above Newt's role are never checked.
* Up to 100 banned words and 50 allowed sites, or 400 and 200 with [Premium](/help/premium).

**Permission:** Manage Server
