# Birthdays

> Members save their birthday and Newt celebrates it in your server.

## <Icon icon="gauge" size={24} /> Set it up

On the dashboard's **Birthdays** tab:

* **Channel:** where birthdays are announced. No channel, no announcements.
* **When to announce:** the hour, in UTC.
* **Birthday role:** worn for the day, taken back the next day.
* **Birthday card:** a picture with their avatar and confetti. On by default.

The year is optional. Add it and Newt announces your age.

* Birthdays are per server.
* To hide your age, set your birthday again without the year.
* 29 February birthdays are celebrated on 1 March in other years.
