# Ratings survey

> New members rate your server from 1 to 10.

Run this in the channel you want the survey in. Or use the dashboard's **Ratings** tab.

That's all. Newt posts a message with buttons from 1 to 10.

    Newt gives them a hidden role for the day they joined.

  <Step title="8 days later">
    Around midday, that day's group gets one ping in the survey channel. The ping deletes itself 2 seconds later, so it shows as a notification without leaving clutter.

  <Step title="They tap a number">
    One score per member. Tapping again replaces their old score.

* Each member is reminded once, never again.
* Moving the survey to a new channel takes the old message down. Scores are kept.
* Keep a record of each reminder with `/logging reminders`. See [Server log](/moderation/logging).
* If Premium lapses, scores are kept and come back when it's on again.
