# Newt coins

> Earn coins, pay friends and trade on the Newt Market.

  One wallet per person, the same on every server. Coins are for fun: nobody can create them, buy them or cash them out.

## <Icon icon="coins" size={24} /> Earn coins

Your wallet opens with **1,000 coins** the first time you use a coin command.

    * Day 1 pays 100 coins. Each day in a row adds 25, up to 250.
    * Every 7th day in a row pays 500 extra.
    * Miss a day and the streak starts over.

Eight pretend companies. Prices move every hour, and news now and then hits one hard.

Leave out `shares` to buy as many as you can afford, or sell all you own.

* 5% is taken off as tax.
* Up to 10,000 coins a day.
* Both accounts must be at least 30 days old.
* Payments of 5,000 or more ask you to confirm.

## <Icon icon="circle-info" size={24} /> Good to know

* Trades cost a 1% fee.
* Every trade is posted in the channel. Buys have a **Copy trade** button. Trades worth 25,000 coins or more get a whale alert.
* To turn it off in your server, switch off the **Newt Market** category on the dashboard's **Commands** tab. Chatting then stops earning coins there too.
