A server people enjoy being in is easier to build than it sounds. Newt's fun and social commands give members things to do together beyond just chatting — check who someone is, challenge them to a selfie battle, propose marriage, set a reminder, or just pull up a random duck. None of these require any setup; they work in any channel the bot can see. ## User profiles and server info **`/userinfo [member]`** shows everything Discord knows about someone alongside what only Newt tracks: the rating they gave your server, which invite link they used to arrive and who created it, how many times they've joined this server, and who they're currently married to here. Fields with nothing to say are left out, so a brand-new member gets a clean, short card rather than a wall of empty rows. Warning counts appear on `/userinfo` only for members who already have permission to run `/warn list`. A member's moderation history isn't public information, and Newt keeps it that way. **`/serverinfo`** gives you a snapshot of the whole server: channel and role counts, emoji inventory, current boost tier and progress, verification level, content filter setting, plus join and leave counts and the single invite link that has brought the most new members this week. ## Mog battle Mog battles are AI-judged 1v1 selfie contests. Run `/mogbattle join` for an open invite that anyone in the channel can accept, or add an `opponent` to challenge someone directly — their invite only responds to the person you named. Once both sides are in, each fighter posts one photo. The submission is deleted the moment it arrives, so nothing shows in the channel until the verdict. When both photos are in, the AI compares them and Newt posts a single result image: the winner displayed normally, the loser in black and white with **MOGGED** stamped across their photo, and a score under each. A few things worth knowing: * The AI is the sole judge — no voting, no reactions, no crowd. Usernames, roles, and past results play no part. * Each fighter gets one submission. Your first photo is your entry. * A fighter who doesn't submit times out after 3 minutes. An unanswered invite expires after 5 minutes. * Only the outcome is stored: who fought, the scores, and the winner. Photos are never saved anywhere. ## Social interactions Each of these commands shows a relevant gif, tracks a running tally between you and the other member, and adds a button so they can respond in kind: `/hug`, `/pat`, `/kiss`, `/highfive`, `/poke`, `/bite`, `/cuddle`, `/dance` `/slap` works the same way but skips the reciprocate button — a gentle, gif-accompanied slap with a tally. ## Marriages Propose to another member with `/marry `. Newt posts a message with Accept and Decline buttons that only the person you named can press — nobody else can intercept it. A few guardrails are in place: * Nobody can be married to two people in the same server at once. * That check runs again when the proposal is accepted, so an old unanswered proposal sitting around can't bypass the limit. * Either partner can end the marriage with `/divorce`. * `/couples` lists everyone currently married in the server, sorted with the longest marriages first. * Marriages belong to the server they happened in. If the bot is removed, they're deleted along with everything else. ## Reminders Set a personal reminder with `/remindme `. Write the time as a duration from now — `10m`, `2h30m`, `3d`, `1w`. Anything from 30 seconds to a year is valid. If Newt can't parse what you typed, it tells you rather than guessing, because a reminder at the wrong time is worse than no reminder. The reminder arrives as a DM. If your DMs are closed, Newt posts it in the original channel and pings you there instead — a closed inbox never means a missed reminder. You can have up to 25 active reminders at a time. Run `/reminders` to see everything you're waiting on.
