# Question of the day

> One question a day in a channel you pick.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the tab">
    On the [dashboard](https://newt.bot/servers), open **Question of the day** and tick **Post a question every day**.

  <Step title="Pick the channel, hour and pings">
    The hour is in UTC. Tick the roles to ping, or none.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add questions">
    One per line, or paste a JSON list. Save.
  </Step>

  Ask an AI for "a JSON object with a questions list of 50 short, friendly questions of the day for a Discord server" and paste the answer in.

    Posts the next question. It counts as today's, so the scheduled one waits until tomorrow.

* Questions post in order and start over at the end.
* Up to 500 questions, 300 characters each.
* `@everyone` and `@here` never ping. Only the roles you tick do.
