# Giveaways

> A prize, a timer and an Enter button. Newt draws the winners.

## <Icon icon="gift" size={24} /> Start a giveaway

* **duration:** 1 minute to 30 days, like `30m`, `2h` or `3d`.
* **winners:** 1 to 20.
* **role:** only people with this role can enter.

Members press **Enter**. When time runs out, Newt picks the winners at random and pings them.

On the **Giveaways** tab:

* **Role to ping** every time a new giveaway posts.
* **Send winners a DM** as well.

## <Icon icon="circle-info" size={24} /> Good to know

* Pressing **Enter** again offers a **Leave** button.
* **Entries** shows who entered, only to the person who pressed it.
* Winners must still be in the server. If fewer people enter than there are winners, everyone who entered wins.
* Up to 25 giveaways can run at once.
